I've been lucky enough to meet the man himself, Toni Maticevski. Ever since I first saw his creations in fashion, I'd fallen in love. I've always prided myself on my unique style but appreciate that fashion is an avenue to express your true self. I believe Toni also has a unique vision and something that I appreciate. He has an ability to create something that is beautiful on every woman's body.
I remember when we first met almost a year ago, he looked at me like he knew me and smiled. I did one of those funny look over your shoulder checks to see if he was saying hi to someone else and no one was there. I obviously felt embarrassed and pointed out that he hadn't met me before (but I was bubbling with excitement my first time). I attended an intimate Myer Trunk show with Maticevski and the designers of AJE not knowing what to expect. To my pleasant surprise it was around 10 people who got access to an intimate interview with these designers and them shop with them! Let's just say that's what led to me owning my first Maticevski and AJE outfits. Toni himself had picked out my first outfit and was not something that I would've chosen together. When I opened that change room curtain he had this "Oh my god" moment that just did it for me then. That outfit now holds sentimental value and something that I'll remember.
